The Science “Rewind”
Videos, Articles, Thoughts - all from the last two weeks - with a link to references for the Lead Poisoning/Toxicity video which comes out THIS SUNDAY on YouTube
Hey Guys —
September Was A Busy Month — I released a video every Sunday of the month. The two I’m most proud of are probably my video on taurine and why you’ll find it in your energy drink and my modafinil videos (video one, video two).
Not sure it was the brightest idea to release two modafinil videos ‘back to back’ but oh well.. I’m pretty excited though, because THIS SUNDAY I’ll be positing a video..

ABOUT
LEAD TOXICITY (references here)
I hope you’re as excited as I am?
Myth Of The Week — Vaccinated people are just as likely as unvaccinated people to spread the coronavirus. This statement is wrong and The Atlantic has a cool feature explaining why, even in the US where half the population is vaccinated, the unvaccinated account for the vast majority of new infections.
Is the CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, who proclaimed (back in April) that vaccinated people do not carry the virus — to blame for this confusion/suspicion?
In summary..
For those instances of a vaccinated person getting a breakthrough case, yes, they can be as infectious as an unvaccinated person. But they are likely contagious for a shorter period of time when compared with the unvaccinated, and they may harbor less infectious virus overall.
Bottom Line — 96% of new COVID cases in New York are among the unvaccinated.
My YouTube Channel IS SO TINY — I’m still growing an audience with a mission to make science and health knowledge more accessible. If that sounds like something you want to support, I’d be very grateful if you could share this newsletter (or even the YouTube channel) with friends and family!
The Old ‘New’ Messenger RNA Vaccines — Scientists have been working on mRNA (read: messenger RNA) vaccines since at least 1988.
It took a pandemic, however, before a breakthrough was possible.
If you’re wondering what that’s the case, Nature has a cool piece on the “tangled history of mRNA vaccines” you can read here. For a quick timeline, look below..
Research Of The Week — RNA molecules are a diverse group and include the “hotly debated” mRNAs but also miRNA (read: micro RNA).
Researchers have now identified a new miRNA (miR-766-5p) which they believe can reduce the expression of genes that they’re calling a “super enhancers.” These super enhancer genes are believed to promote the growth of many different tumours.
Speaking Of Super.. Super Soldiers? — the US Army is funding sleeping caps that can modulate the brain health of soldiers with the ability to read the brain’s output signals and modulate behaviour via input TES and LIFUP technologies.
This isn’t the first time the US Army has experimented with “super soldiers” having experimented in the past with exoskeletons, AR goggles and erm.. Modafinil?!
Now We’re Back Full Circle — SMOOTH.. if this doesn’t deserve a comment then I honestly have no idea what does.
Best Wishes,
